Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Review

An experience that, for many people, was 18 years in the making. The Eras Tour is truly a masterpiece of mixed media from the costume changes, new sets during each era and the screen filling up with carefully crafted videos. Taylor Swift has outdone herself once again.

Many of Swift’s fans, or Swifties as they’ve coined themselves, have grown up listening to her music. Each era means so much because it represents more than a good song that lasts for two minutes and fifty-seven seconds. These albums are stepping stones for growing up and becoming someone who is figuring out the world. Swift created a concert that represents people who have just joined her fandom and those who have been there from the start. Meshing every kind of person together to allow them to experience something unlike anything else.

This concert starts with a magical entrance of large scarf-like objects flying around. The dancers holding them parade down the stage until they all meet in the center diamond. While you’re distracted by this thrilling scene, suddenly, the world stops as Swift enters center stage, popping out from under the airy scarves. This is when you know that nothing would ever compare to what you were about to see. Bam! Songs start immediately with "Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Price" coursing through your body. You can’t help jumping to your feet and feeding your soul with the creativity Swift has prepared for you.

Each of the eras were perfectly crafted and decorated to fit each album. The stage is lit

with the color associated with the albums. Plus, some props brought the songs to life. During her Evermore Era, she had trees lining the back part of the stage that gave life to the album's ambiance. Some albums brought on the feeling of nostalgia. During the Red Era, she wore similar styles as she did during her original Red tour. No matter the feeling you experienced during each era, you were met with a question, how could she come up with something better? To answer that simply, just wait until the next era of the concert arrives, and you will see how much better it can get.

As if this concert couldn’t be anticipated anymore, Swift added in the element of surprise songs. Swift makes her way to the front of the stage at each show to a guitar and piano. She proceeds to tell riddles until announcing two surprise songs. Mostly, these songs aren’t repeated, but anything can happen since it's Swift’s world, and we're all just living in it.

As a little girl just shy of seven-years-old screaming Swift’s songs was the highlight of each day. Even though I was just enjoying the sound of each song at that age, I now apricate them for every aspect. With age, these songs gave meaning to my struggles, accomplishments and so much more. Each album was the background music to my whole life, with lyrics that made me feel a little less alone.

Once you experience this, you will never be the same. This concert can make you feel every feeling under the sun in just under three hours.
